As 2024 draws to a close, Taskize came together in person for our ‘State of the Nation’ company meeting in London

taskize-team-1As 2024 draws to a close, Taskize came together in person for our ‘State of the Nation’ company meeting in London. As a remote-first company, this allowed our teams to reflect on the year’s successes, discuss key achievements, and chart the course for an even brighter 2025.

Here are the top 10 highlights from the day… taskize-team-meeting1. Welcoming our incoming CEO

Taskize heard from its incoming CEO, Diederik Geeraerts, who shared insights from his current role as Global Head of Client Service at Euroclear. He reflected on his experience selecting, deploying and running the Taskize platform, emphasising its impact on clients.

Watch our in-depth interview with Diederik to find out more.

2. Outstanding customer satisfaction

Our Account Management team talked through the latest stats on how financial service users see far greater scores – compared to email and phone – when they switch their customer service comms from those legacy platforms over to Taskize.  In this scenario, 98% end-client satisfaction ratings are not uncommon.

3. Growing the Taskize team

This year, we welcomed 12 talented individuals to the team, spanning roles in engineering, marketing, operations, and business development:

  • Kate Murphy – Executive Assistant
  • Rohan Murphy – Business Development Manager
  • Nikki Radu – Account Manager
  • Davide Vitelaru – Operations Engineer
  • Narcisa Lupu – Marketing Manager
  • Yang Lei – Project Manager
  • Steve Beard – Software Engineer
  • Ayoade Adeniyi – Senior Software Engineer
  • Miles Trueman – Business Development Manager
  • Helen Adair – Head of Business Development
  • Alfred Escobedo – Business Development Manager LATAM
  • Max Ferreira – Junior Customer Success Analyst

4. Expanding strategic partnerships

We recapped how 2024 saw Taskize launch new partnerships and expand others, including:

5. Taskize Forum 2024

Our flagship event in London and New York facilitated discussions on post-trade operation efficiencies. We heard directly from banks, financial institutions and fintechs about the value of workflow and collaboration automation, the Taskize platform, and the value that all of this combined delivers.

Check out the top 10 tech challenges for the banking sector and the 6 big questions for post-trade operations as discussed at the Forum.

6. Active industry engagement

Taskize and its clients were invited to speak around this world this year — such as our live demo at Symphony Innovate 2024, and the presentation of a bespoke collaboration and workflow solution at the Euroclear Collateral Conference. Taskize also led an industry workshop with Fidelity Investments and State Street at InvestOps USA, driving conversations on post-trade modernisation, which you can read about in this blog.

7. Introducing Mailbox Analyser

From a product perspective, the State of the Nation looked at the development and delivery of Taskize’s Mailbox Analyser, our tool to measure and report on email usage – and its inherent stress on budget, workflows and resources – in the post-trade issue resolution process.

8. Showcasing the Taskize team

Throughout the whole day in the office, a film crew interviewed members of each of our teams about their life at Taskize so that, next year, the business will be able to highlight its people as much as its technology. That’s because we see technology only as an enabler; it’s the talented people behind the work who actually make a difference.

9. Looking forward to 2025

During the State of the Nation day, we also recorded several key predictions for 2025, not least the industry challenge of T+1 in Europe. There’s more to come on this subject and we’ve already spoken about this hot topic in the media – see the latest interviews with our Head of Business Development for Global Custodian and with our interim CEO for Financial Times.

10. A Hollywood ending

We closed the year with a Hollywood-themed Christmas party, celebrating our collective achievements and enjoying a festive finale to a successful 2024.
