taskize-offsiteTaskize recently held its summer off-site meeting where almost the entire company gathered for two days filled with updates, reviews, networking activities, and bonding.

This annual company gathering was a refreshing change from virtual meetings, offering us the opportunity to connect face-to-face in a beautiful country house hotel in Bath. A big thank you to our social committee for organising such a fantastic event!

The off-site was a perfect mix of fun and productivity. We enjoyed various outdoor games but the highlight was undoubtedly the tug of war finale, which brought out everyone’s competitive spirit. taskize-teamAlongside the fun, we focused on celebrating our milestones for the first half of the year and planning for the rest of 2024. Here are the key takeaways for our clients, partners, and the wider fintech community…

1. Evolving our strategy

Taskize’s evolving strategy focuses on building ever-closer connections with global custodians and their networks through strategic partnerships, addressing collateral disputes for brokers, and servicing the buy-side community.

2. Engaging our community

We looked back at Taskize Forum 2024 in New York and London, which discussed efficiencies in post-trade. For detailed perspectives from the US banking sector discussed at the forum, check out last week’s blog.

3. Expanding our partnerships

In this first half of the year, we made significant strides in expanding integrations and forming new partnerships:

  1. We revealed phase two of our integration with Symphony at Symphony Innovate 2024. This represents a pivotal moment in facilitating inter-company collaboration, as Taskize and Symphony users seamlessly navigate complex workflows without having to leave their existing platforms.
  2. We expanded our partnership with FINBOURNE Technology, following the success of an initial integration of Taskize into LUSID in 2021. This enhances the external exception management and query resolution capabilities for organisations using FINBOURNE’s front-to-back investment technology.
  3. We announced the integration of Taskize’s collaboration and workflow functionality into Meritsoft’s cross-asset Trade Tracking and Exception Manager (TTEM) to enable faster query resolution in a drive to minimise trade settlement fails. With this integration – as demonstrated live at Taskize Forum in London – operations teams will be able to rapidly address issues that might otherwise lead to failing trades.

4. Spotlighting our results

Our efforts and innovations have not gone unnoticed – in a recap of media coverage, we noted that Taskize was featured in the Financial Times – reaching 1.2 million readers for the second time in the last 12 months. We also recapped and measured our work at Symphony Innovate 2024, InvestOps Europe Connect, The Network Forum Annual Meeting, ISLA Annual Conference, and IMpower incorporating FundForum. taskize-financial-times5. Innovating our platform

  1. We also reviewed our commitment to integrating with our clients’ data sources and external market-facing APIs to allow for automated query resolution. Using the Taskize platform, your business can automate the response to data-related queries instantly, generating capacity and reducing resolution times for operations teams.
  2. As part of our commitment to delivering the best possible usability, deliver valuable MI reporting and tailor workflows to real use cases, we are focused on continual, client feedback-based UX upgrades.

6. Growing our team

The off-site meeting was also a great opportunity to welcome several new joiners:

  • Rohan Murphy – Business Development Manager
  • Nikki Radu – Account Manager
  • Davide Vitelaru – Operations Engineer
  • Narcisa Lupu – Marketing Manager
  • Yang Lei – Project Manager

7. Embracing the future

Our engineering team reported back on their newly-formed AI taskforce. This team is dedicated to exploring and deploying AI technologies for our clients in a secure, scalable, and affordable manner.

The team updated everyone on proof of concept projects and engagement with industry experts from alongside and outside the business.

Looking ahead

Our summer off-site was a great success and we look forward to achieving greater milestones in the second half of 2024 and beyond. Stay tuned for more updates and insights and thank you for being part of our journey!
