We are excited to invite you to our latest Collateral Working Group, part of Taskize’s ongoing series of in-person breakfast briefings

taskize-collateral-working-group-november-2024We are excited to invite you to our latest Collateral Working Group, part of Taskize’s ongoing series of in-person breakfast briefings tailored for clients and users from the world of collateral management.

Held this Wednesday, 20th November, at the Pan Pacific in London, this event will gather industry experts to collaboratively address current challenges and emerging solutions in the front-to-back (F2B) collateral management process.

This session will focus on a level set of collateral management challenges in the end-to-end process – ensuring all aspects are captured while exploring Taskize’s unique role in facilitating seamless collaboration and communication.

This session also marks the first appearance of Taskize’s new Head of Business Development, Helen Adair. With extensive experience from her previous roles at Morgan Stanley and J.P. Morgan, Helen brings a fresh, seasoned perspective on optimising collateral management, efficiency, and control.

What are the key challenges in OTC collateral management?

Our event will provide an open forum to discuss the major challenges impacting OTC derivatives collateral management processes, including:

  • Inconsistent processes: A lack of standardisation across processes often results in delays and inefficiencies
  • Resource intensive operations: Significant staff resources are required to maintain collateral management workflows
  • Manual operations: Heavy reliance on manual processes limits scalability and increases error risk
  • Data silos: Isolated data management creates information gaps, complicating reporting and insights
  • Communication barriers: Fragmented communication slows decision-making and impedes clarity
  • Lack of real-time updates: The need for timely, synchronised information is critical for effective collateral management

Benefits of investing in collateral management infrastructure

The need to implement fast, efficient end-to-end connectivity at scale will yield significant benefits. We’ll discuss how investing in the F2B collateral management workflow and infrastructure will provide:

  • Asset monetisation and efficiency
  • Robust control
  • Reporting and analytics
  • Policy and governance
